1940年代のイギリスにて軍用として採用されていたライダースコートから機能的なデザインを参考にANCELLMとして現代的なスペックで書き換えました。

本来の強靭さを備えた生地の重さや硬さは取り払い世界最高峰とも謳われるスーピマコットンを採用。

細い超長綿を高密度に織り上げることでしなやかなハリと心地の良い軽快さを纏った素材です。

スーピマの持つシルクのような艶を敢えて加工で消し気品を残しながら深い表情に仕上げました。

ディテールを削り簡素に表現しながらも、
当時は書簡を収納していた大きな胸ポケットや非対称な胸のパッチといった象徴的な要素を残し、バランスを計算しながら構築し直しております。

ライニングにはオリジナルのフランネルを配置し、大きなネックストラップは収納が可能な仕様で、見えない部分にも気を配りました。

落ちの良いAラインに深くスリットを差し込むことで歩幅に合わせて美しく生地が動きますので、ご試着の際には身体を動かしてお試しください。


Inspired by the functional design of a military riders coat adopted by the British Army in the 1940s, this piece has been reinterpreted through ANCELLM's lens with a contemporary specification.

The weight and rigidity of the original military fabric have been stripped away in favor of one of the world's finest Supima cottons. Woven at a high density from extra-long staple fibers, the fabric offers a supple structure with a light, comfortable feel.

The silk-like luster inherent to Supima cotton is intentionally subdued through a special finishing process, leaving behind a fabric with quiet elegance and rich depth of character.

While the overall design has been simplified by removing unnecessary details, iconic elements of the original remain—including the oversized chest pocket once intended for carrying letters and the asymmetrical chest patch. Each has been carefully rebalanced within a modern silhouette.

The coat is lined with ANCELLM's original flannel, and the oversized neck strap can be neatly tucked away, reflecting the same level of attention given to the unseen details.

A flowing A-line silhouette is finished with deep side slits, allowing the fabric to move beautifully with every step. We encourage you to experience its movement when trying it on.
